You deserve a life that isn’t consumed by thoughts about the past and anxiety about the future.
Individual psychotherapy is for you if you want growth on a personal level that will help you improve your relationship with yourself and others.
I provide therapy through a lens that includes Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
Most people find me when they are tired of being impacted by things that happened to them years ago, anxiety is getting the best of them, or they are going through a significant change.
I have a great deal of experience working with people who identify as women or are part of the LGBTQIA+ community. I have specialized training to provide care for people who have gone through traumatic events, losses, or extremely stressful situations.
It may have taken you a long time to feel ready to address things that have been bothering you. I provide a welcoming space where I help people lay down the burdens of the past so they can refocus on their lives in the present and develop hope for the future.

Hi, I’m Elisabeth.
Working with me feels like a warm and collaborative conversation as I weave in research-based treatment modalities.
While I believe it is important to ground therapeutic work in theoretical knowledge, my main priority in our sessions is being an authentic human being who will listen to you and support you as you make the changes needed in your life.
I tailor care so that each person is provided highly personalized and empathic treatment, with a healthy dose of humor.
I am licensed in Massachusetts and New Hampshire and provide therapy online for adults 18 and over who reside in those states. Online therapy gives you the convenience of being able to have therapy sessions wherever you are, as long as you have an internet connection, a phone or computer, and a private space. I use a HIPPA compliant platform to conduct online therapy sessions.
Specialties
Anxiety
It’s normal and healthy to feel anxious sometimes, but feeling anxious most of the time can be overwhelming. Therapy can teach people how to adjust thoughts that may be unhelpful in order to see things more accurately and live life with more ease.
Trauma
Very stressful events or prolonged painful experiences can impact how we view ourselves, others, and the world around us. I help people address old memories and beliefs that may be holding them back in order to reconnect with who they truly are and live in the present with more compassion for themselves.
Life Transitions
Relationship challenges, divorce, health issues, aging parents, and losses of various types can leave us feeling like our lives are upside down. Therapy can be a comforting place to talk about the things that are difficult to talk about in other areas of our lives because our stress is about the people around us.
OCD
Obsessive compulsive disorder can cause you to doubt who you truly are, and create fears about becoming someone you don’t want to be. I treat OCD through a modality called Inference Based CBT (I-CBT), which helps people learn to trust themselves again. People can have co-occurring OCD and PTSD, and I am trained to treat both. You can learn more about I-CBT here: https://icbt.online/what-is-icbt/
Let’s talk about therapy
In order to determine if we’re a good match, I offer a 20-minute initial consultation at no cost. This is a time to meet online and discuss your goals for treatment before a commitment is made to working together.
Have additional questions, or don’t see a time available when you can meet? Just fill out the form below and I’ll get back to you.
This form isn’t for emergencies. If you are in crisis, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
FAQs
What is your fee?
$150 per individual session.
Do you take insurance?
I do not accept insurance directly.
However, you may have the option of utilizing your insurance.
If you would like to use your insurance, you can seek out-of-network benefits for our sessions.
If you use insurance on an out-of-network basis, sessions will be charged directly to you at the time of our appointment. I will provide you with a receipt (called a “superbill”) which you can submit to your insurance company who may then reimburse you for some portion of the cost based on the coverage your plan has for therapy on an out-of-network basis.
I have also partnered with Mentaya, which is a service you can choose to use if we work together. For a very small fee, they streamline getting reimbursement for your therapy sessions if you’re using out-of-network benefits. You can learn more here: https://www.mentaya.com/patients.
Are there benefits to not using insurance?
There are several benefits to out-of-network therapy, including keeping your sessions private from your family and your insurance provider, no referral requirements from your primary care physician, and the freedom to find the best provider to suit your personality and goals for therapy.
As insurance deductibles have risen over the years, many people using their insurance actually pay for almost all of their therapy sessions out-of-pocket before reaching their insurance deductible, so there may not be any savings in comparison to in-network therapy. This can be an important consideration as you work to find a therapist who is the best fit for you and your unique needs.
